    01/14 Here’s all you need to know about the winners of the 2019 WBFJA Awards

    WBFJA (West Bengal Film Journalists’ Association) award happens to be one of the most prestigious awards in Bengali film industry and this year it’s Srijit Mukherji’s ‘Ek Je Chhilo Raja’ creating razzmatazz as it bagged as many as seven awards; whereas, ‘Byomkesh’ Gowtro remained second in the list with five awards. In his 20 years acting career this is the first time Jisshu Sengupta won the best lead actor award. Srijit Mukherji also won the best lyrics award for the first time.

    Best Actor In A Leading Role (Male) – Jisshu Sengupta

    Best Music Director – Indraadip Das Gupta (Ek Je Chhilo Raja)

    Best Make Up Artist – Somnath Kundu

    Best Costume Designer – Sabarni Das

    ‘Ek Je Chhilo Raja’ sees the return of Srijit Mukherji to the main strength of his craft who loves to put aside over-indulgence which have made all his recent films average for the last few years. Srijit makes this film unique with a good subject, nice cinematic pace and some extraordinary performances. It’s actually the strength of the performances, especially Jisshu Sengupta and Jaya Ahsan, guides ‘Ek Je Chhilo Raja’ rise back to glory.
