Dwitiyo Purush song Je Kawta Din Reprised strikes a chord with music lovers

Srijit Mukherjee’s much-awaited thriller, Dwitiyo Purush, is all set to hit the silver screen and the reprised version of hit song, Je Kawta Din released today. The film picks from the climax of Baishey Srabon.

Apart from the thrill and excitement that the trailer of Srijit Mukherjee’s upcoming movie, Dwitiyo Purush, had to offer, listeners of Bengali music were thrilled when a reprised version of Je Kawta Din was announced. The film is one of the most anticipated 2020 releases and the first look, in itself, had started to create quite a stir amongst fans. The film is a sequel to 2011 hit film, Baishey Srabon, with a few additions in the existing cast.

The first version of Je Kawta Din from Baishey Srabon became an instant hit and has over four million views on YouTube with various versions attempted by many young singers. While the first version was all about the main protagonists of the film, detective Abhijit Pakrashi, his ladylove Amrita’s (portrayed by Parambrata Chatterjee and Raima Sen) life as an unmarried couple, the reprised version of the song showcases their life after marriage. The song is composed by Anupam Roy & Iman Chakraborty.
