‘Durgeshgorer Guptodhon’ to repeat the same star cast of ‘Guptodhoner Sondhane’

‘Guptodhoner Sondhane’ hasn’t yet faded out from any Bengali movie buff’s memory and the overwhelming box office response has convinced director Dhrubo Banerjee to enthrall the audience with one more story that has the same amounts of adventure and thrill like ‘Guptodhoner Sondhane’. Word is that the next instalment in the series will be released in 2019 summer and it’s titled ‘Durgeshgorer Guptodhan’.

Good news is the next film will repeat the same star cast. That means Abir Chatterjee will return as Sona Da, the energetic history professor and Arjun Chakraborty, Ishaa Saha will be his sidekicks as usual. Dhrubo Banerjee has already assured that there will also be a third flick in this new series.

Bengali viewers have always been big fans of mystery films and amidst the huge craze around Feluda, Byomkesh, Shobor and Kiriti it will be interesting to see if Sona Da manages to create a mark of his own and becomes another cult figure in our minds. Abir’s new avatar has the needed grit, astute and dauntless debonair that promises to hit the right chord with both the critics and the audiences.
