Crisscross teaser: Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan’s tales of crisis will sink your hearts

Shree Venkatesh Films has released the teaser of their upcoming film titled Crisscross. It is a story that encapsulates a day in the lives of its five female protagonists. Ira is a workaholic journalist who is torn between prioritizing her career and love life. Suzy is a single mother who has to fight the odds of the society to raise her son. Rupa is a wife who is a victim of domestic violence and is fettered in an unhappy marriage. Miss Sen is a headstrong, arrogant and rebellious woman. Meher is an aspiring actress who does not wish to compromise for getting good work.

The interesting background score, coupled with parallel narratives, ups the intrigue factor several notches higher. The film has been directed by Birsa Dasgupta, who had also directed popular Bengali films like Obhishopto Nighty, Golpo Holeo Shotti and Shob Bhooturey.

The stories run parallel to each other and focus on the crisis faced by them. The film is based on Smaranjit Chakraborty’s novel of the same name. The film stars Mimi Chakraborty, Priyanka Sarkar, Sohini Sarkar, Jaya Ahsan and Nusrat Jahan in the lead roles. The music for the film has been composed by Jam8. Crisscross is slated for a release on August 10, 2018.
