‘Byomkesh Gowtro’: Arjun Chakraborty flaunts his new debonair Casanova look

Arindam Sil is all set to bring Byomkesh back to life after two years since ‘Byomkesh Pawrbo’ in 2016. His next ‘Byomkesh Gowtro’, slated for a Durga Puja release, is inspired by Sharadindu Bandopadhyay’s ‘Rakter Daag’. While Abir Chatterjee and Sohini Sarkar play Byomkesh and his wife Satyabati, Arjun Chakraborty’s characters seems to be the most interesting one as we have seen in the intriguing teaser.

The teaser has introduced Arjun as Satyakam, the ultimate debonair Casanova, who himself admits he is not born to be a family man rather he loves to destroy them. He also addresses Byomkesh, “Death is the only thing that’s certain in our lives Mr Bakshi.” In a prophetic approach Satyakam even urges the iconic sleuth to investigate, whether he is to die soon. The teaser offers an interesting montage of Satyakam engaging with several women. The stout appearance and the unique characterization of Arjun Chakraborty in a never-before-seen look, his conflicts with women make the murder mystery more interesting.

Apart from Abir, Sohini and Arjun, Rahul Banerjee has replaced Ritwick Chakraborty as Ajit, Byomkesh’s sidekick. Rest of the cast includes Priyanka Sarkar, Anjan Dutt, Arjun Chakraborty, Indrashish Roy, Anindita Bose, Bibriti Chatterjee and many others.
