Ghosts are a key part of the folklore, and represent an integral part of the socio-cultural beliefs of Bengal. Best known as the Indian Halloween, Bhoot Chaturdashi is observed on the night before Kali Puja i.e. on the fourteenth day of Krishna Paksha. Now to double the excitement of all those ‘bhoot’ loving Bongs, the official trailer of a new-age horror flick ‘Bhoot Chaturdashi’ is here.
The story is by Mainak Bhaumik who himself is a fan of horror movies. Shabbir Mallick who had assisted Mainak earlier is making his directorial debut with this film. Just like the director the lead cast also belongs to the next generation. The four leads are Aryann Bhowmik, Ena Saha, Deepsheta Mitra and Soumendra Bhattacharya.
The trailer shows the story of four young friends on a road trip to make a documentary as they experience some supernatural incidents. The trailer has all the necessary elements to scare you. Some spooky shots, well created visual effects, eerie background score, all add to the intrigue factor. Another interesting point is the story revolves around a folklore related to Bengal and the concept hasn’t been copied from any western horror flick.
