Kolkata, Dec 30(UNI): While Bengali cinema this year failed to produce a proper superhit, Bengali webseries spent a bullish twenty eighteen.
Already three reputed entertainment feature company Hoichoi, Addatimes and Zee5 are showcasing Bangla webseries except Zee5 is showcasing projects of various Indian languages. To name a few series enthralled audiences by contents and depictions are as follows.
‘Dhanbad Blues’ by Sourav Chakraborty starring Rajatava Dutta and Solanki. Which happens to be the darkest Bengali series based on the black truth of regionally mastered porn film industry; streaming on Hoichoi.
‘Kaali’ by Korok Murmu starring Paoli Dam in lead. It is a power packed story of a mother, who can break any barrier for her son. The series also is the first Bengali webseries started streaming on Zee5.
‘Sei Je Holud Pakhi’ by Anirban Mallik starring Saswata Chatterjee and Tridha as protagonists. It is a musical thriller depicting a father-daughter tale. After Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Dhimaner Dinkaal’, this is second time Saswata got featured in an webseries; streaming on Hoichoi.
‘Oh! Mother’ by Shaket Banerjee and scripted by Sudeshna Roy. Starring Bidipta Chakraborty, Sourav Das in lead is streaming on Addatimes.
‘Charitraheen’ based on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel and directed by Debaloy Bhattacharya. Naina Ganguly, who earlier acted in Ram Gopal Verma’s ‘Meri Beti Sunny Leone Banna Chahti Hai’, featured here as lead; streaming on Hoichoi.
‘Mismatch’ by Soumik Chattopadhyay keeping Mainak Banerjee and Rachel White in main cast. The series tells a tale of partner swapping; streaming on Hoichoi.
