The much-awaited trailer of Dhrubo Banerjee’s historical adventure Durgeshgorer Guptodhon’s is out and is getting a lot of applause. While Sona Da (Abir Chatterjee) along with his director Dhrubo Banerjee answered various fan mails about the trailer, Aabir (Arjun Chakrabarty) and Jhinuk (Ishaa Saha) were unable to contain their excitement. It was based on the requests of the actors and fans that the trailer has been released. Arjun whose phone hasn’t stop ringing since Sunday, said, “Like the audience, I too was impatient to watch the trailer. And the amount of appreciation we are getting is just heart-warming. There are many who didn’t watch Guptodhoner Sondhane. So, they are saying that they will watch it before watching Durgeshgorer Guptodhon. And the ones who have already watched the earlier film can’t wait to watch this one.”
The trailer starts with Sonada telling his excited nephew Aabir that it’s time for a new treasure hunt and thus, we hear the famous History Rap (by Bickram Ghosh) telling us that Subarno Sen, aka Sonada, is back for a second round of adventure. And this time, his destination is the land of Durgeshgor and they have to go back in history to 1757!
Durgeshgorer Guptodhon follows the story of Professor Subarno Sen, aka Sonada, a professor of history, who along with his nephew Aabir and Jhinuk, decide to visit one of his student’s ancestral mansion at Durgeshgor. The student’s great grandfather was an erstwhile zamindar and a renowned artist of Bengal. There is a myth that runs in the family that they had once received a massive treasure, but all traces and trails of it had been lost. Sonada and his team join a festival in that mansion in Durgeshgor and stumble upon the lost clues that may lead them to unearthing one of the greatest treasures of Bengal!
Durgeshgorer Guptodhon is the sequel to the treasure hunt film, Guptodhoner Sondhane. The film also stars Anindya Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Kharaj Mukherjee, June, Debjani Chatterjee, Liliy Chakraborty, Aryann Bhowmick, Arindam Sil, Kamaleswar Mukherjee, Joydip Kundu and Lama in pivotal roles. Bickram Ghosh has scored the songs and background music of the film.
