The story begins with a funny yet unfortunate incident during a couple’s honeymoon which forces the newlyweds to return home. Mithi a young woman is determined to not change her surname after marriage. Her husband is supportive and a true liberal. Her in-laws have a problem with it till the time, Mitali(Mithi’s Mother in law) starts supporting Mithi in her quest, finding herself a comrade in the right cause where even she(Mitali) wants to get back to her maiden surname now. What follows is a tumultuous joyful, funny yet poignantly complex ride which leaves the audience with a thought-provoking ending.
