Chokher Bali

Based on Rabindranath Tagore’s work, Chokher Bali is a departure from the normal wave of Bengali movies and marked a new beginning. Young widow Binodini, lives with a woman and her son, Mahendra, who had once refused to marry her. Their lives are thrown into disarray when there is deceit and adultery among Binodini, Mahendra, his wife and his friend, Behari. The auteur Rituparno Ghosh recreated Tagore’s magic on screen by colouring it with his own unique experience of the novel. Watch the full movie on Hoichoi.
