Director Pathikrit Basu’s upcoming new film is Fidaa under the banner of Shri Venkatesh Fims. With this film, the production house is launching a fresh face Sanjana Banerjee opposite Yash Dasgupta who has already proved his tenacity in Tollywood with Gangster and One. The actor who has this macho, angry young man kind of an image will delve into a fully different character in his upcoming project. Yash who is portraying the character of a college student here will get into the shoes of a lover boy!

The poster of the film which was show cased some days back has the dashing Yash hugging a girl whose face is not visible. Rumour was rife that the female fiddle is none other than Mimi. But all speculations came to rest with the introduction of a fresh face in tolly town. At a press conference conducted not so long ago, Sanjana Banerjee was introduced with much pomp and show. The youngster who plays ‘Khushi’ is head over heels with glee as ‘Fidaa’ makes her dream of venturing into the filmy world come true.

‘Tomake Diyechilam Chena Chena Kotha Gulo’ is the first song from the movie which got released recently. Composed by Arindom Chatterjee, the duet is crooned by Nikita Gandhi and Arindom, himself.

The video has the protagonists loitering in a busy place in London. While the female lead is enjoying herself in between gaining attention from the male lead, Yash’s character tries hard to show his aversion; but fails miserably and gradually falls for the girl. The song on its part is a foot tapping and groovy number and will be loved a lot by the young listeners. Though not for keeps, Tomake will invariably linger in the hearts of the song lovers and rejuvenate their minds, at all.

Releasing this Eid, Fidaa is therefore a must watch for all the romantic and exotic souls.
