The official poster of ‘Gumnaami’ will give you goosebumps

Two days after Srijit Mukherji was served legal notice over his upcoming thriller ‘Gumnaami’ based on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a brand new poster from the film has been dropped online and it’s an instant hit. “Mystery repeats itself, this Puja. #Gumnaami’ wrote Srijit on his Twitter handle sharing the latest poster.

Ever since Srijit Mukherji announced his dream project ‘Gumnaami’, a film based on Gumnami Baba, the thriller has been in the center of controversy. Even Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s grandnephew Chandra Kumar Bose took a dig at the national award-winning director in public.

Not only that, director Aniket Chattopadhyay in his series of Facebook posts continues to take a dig at the Gumnaami baba – the godman who has been rumored to be Netaji.

However, it didn’t dump Srijit’s spirit and he insisted time and again the film will be made despite all the odds and criticisms.

The upcoming thriller is set to explore the myth of the mysterious sadhu often addressed as Gumnaami Baba and Prosenjit Chatterjee will be seen in the titular role.

There are so many rumors and conspiracy theories on Netaji’s return to India after his supposed death in Taihoku plane crash. Srijit’s upcoming film’s plot is one of those rumors which apparently set the crux of the film. The film draws inspiration from Anuj Dhar and Chandrachur Ghosh’s book ‘CONUNDRUM, Subhas Bose’s Life After Death’.
