Rudranil thrilled with response to Bibaho Obhijaan

Rudranil Ghosh is happy that his script of Bibaho Obhijaan has got so much of praise, both from the rural and urban audience. “I am so happy that after a long time, an out-an-out commercial story has got so much of appreciation from the audience. What attracted the audience is the subject. The film deals with marriages where the husband and wife fights all through the day. But at the end of the day, it is love that binds them together. It is an out-and-out comedy that is making the audience laugh for two hours. In this stressful life, this film comes as a complete full-on entertainer, which is being loved by people of all ages,” said the actor, who has also acted in the film.

Birsa Dasgupta’s Bibaho Obhijaan is a laugh riot that celebrates the adventures of marriage. The film is a playful tribute to the classic Tom & Jerry bonding between husbands and wives.

Meanwhile Rudranil, who was supposed to be part of Sanjbaati, is not part of the film anymore. “The script of Sanjbaati is fantastic, but I somehow felt that my character will not do justice to my acting skills. The screen space too I felt should have been more. But the script is mind-blowing,” said the actor, who plays the antagonist in Rifle.

“I can promise my audience that they will get to see a different Ajit in Sayantan Ghosal’s Satyaneshi Byomkesh based on Magnamainak. I had discussions with Anjanda (Dutt) who has penned the script and how to approach the character in a new way. I have got offers in some national projects too and I am waiting for the final decision,” said Rudranil.
