The last leg of the shoot in Amazon is close to a wrap with director Sandip Ray and his unit winding up a marathon schedule for the last two weeks. A member of the unit recently dropped a picture on social media where you can see Sandip Ray canning the last few shots in Amazon.

Sandip Ray is all set for his next science-fiction movie ‘Professor Shanku O El Dorado’, inspired by his father Satyajit Ray’s story ‘Nakur Babu O El Dorado’. The first part of the film was shot in Kolkata and Giridih.

Popular character artist Dhritiman Chatterjee portrays the role of professor Shonku. Satyajit Ray’s creation Professor Shonku was inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s ‘Professor Challenger’ and ‘Hesoram Husiar’, another unique character made by his father Sukumar Ray. The film’s narrative also has professor Shonku’s companions – his domestic helper Prahlad, his cat Newton and neighbour Abinash Babu.
