Mainak Bhaumik’s next ‘Generation Aami’ is a slice of a life drama that motivates you to live your dreams. Starring Aparajita Auddy Sauraseni Maitra and Rwitobroto Mukherjee in the lead, the recently released official trailer will surely make you nostalgic about your teenage life.

While Rwitobroto plays the central character of a teenage boy Apu, Santilal Mukherjee, incidentally his father in real life also essays his on-screen father’s role. Aparajita will be seen as Apu’s mother in the film produced by SVF.

Elaborating on his latest directorial, Mainak gave a sneak peek into the world of ‘Generation Aami’. “It is actually the first film I ever wrote when I was only 16. It’s about a boy in Class X who can’t digest his situation of being over-parented. What’s more interesting is even after all these years when I started working on the script I realized the angst of a 16-year-old hasn’t changed that much. What’s changed is mainly my perspective. I have tried to side equally with the parents and the children now,” explained the director.
