It is said that sequels do not turn out as good as the first film, but director Dhrubo Banerjee is all set to break this jinx with his upcoming film, Durgeshgorer Guptodhan.

He said that Durgeshgorer Guptodhan is the sequel of Guptodhoner Sondhane and will have the same star cast. That means Abir Chatterjee will return as Sonada, the energetic history professor and Arjun Chakraborty, Ishaa Saha will be seen his close associates as usual. Dhrubo Banerjee has already assured that there will also be a third flick in this new series.

“Abir, Arjun and Ishaa will be seen solving a more dramatic and intense mystery, while the adventure intensifies. I’m sure people will like the film just like the previous one,” Dhrubo added. Besides, he said Sonada, who is a history professor-turned-explorer, finds treasure from Bengal. “Like Indiana Jones searches only for mythical treasures, Sonada looks for treasure within Bengal and with the help of Bengal’s history,” Dhrubo added. The songs in the film have not been used in the traditional way and there are four songs in the film.

Another reason the audience will like the film is for of its music, which plays an most important role in the narrative. “All the songs have helped the film narrative to flow and without the songs, the story cannot be told, said Dhrubo.
