‘Crisscross’ new song: Armaan Malik creates magic with ‘Alo Chhaya’

Birsa Dasgupta’s next ‘Crisscross’ epitomizes the hardships of five women from different sections of the society. Whether the intriguing trailer or soul-stirring music, the women-centric drama has created a lot of buzz since the day of its announcement. Now, ahead of the film’s release on August 10, the third song ‘Alo Chhaya’ is here to intensify the craze surrounding ‘Crisscross’. Sung by Armaan Malik, the melodious track is on the loop already portraying the struggles, the intensities of five lives.

The plot of ‘Crisscross’, based on Smaranjit Chakraborty’s novel by the same name, sees Ira (played by Mimi Chakraborty) becoming a workaholic photojournalist who has to choose between her career and personal life. Suzy (Priyanka Sarkar) is a single mother facing the odds of the society while raising her only child. Rupa (Sohini Sarkar) is a victim of domestic violence and torn apart in a failed marriage. Miss Sen (Jaya) is an arrogant and rebellious woman running her own ad agency. Meher (Nusrat) is an aspiring actress struggling to find good work.
