Abir Chatterjee starrer Durgeshgorer Guptodhon creates history
The much-awaited historical adventure, ‘Durgeshgorer Guptodhon’, already etched its name in the books of history by launching its trailer online simultaneously yesterday on 11 Facebook pages and YouTube at the same time while the actors of the film were live with the audience. The trailer went live from the Facebook pages of SVF, SVF Music, hoichoi, SVF Cinemas, SVF Television, Sangeet Bangla, Abir Chatterjee, Ishaa Saha, Arjun Chakraborty, Mahendra Soni, Durgeshgorer Guptodhon and from the SVF YouTube channel making it one of the highest viewed live engagements for any Bengali film.
While Sona Da (Abir Chatterjee) along with his director Dhrubo Banerjee answered the various fan messages they had received online including several requests to show the trailer, Aabir (Arjun Chakraborty) and Jhinuk( Ishaa Saha) unable to contain their excitement requested for the trailer to be shown at that instant. On their insistence and on the request of several eager audiences watching them online, the trailer was inserted through live stream on all the pages.
The trailer starts with Sona da, telling his excited nephew Aabir that it’s time for a new treasure quest and thus we hear the famous History Rap (by Bickram Ghosh) telling us that Professor of History Subarno Sen, aka Sona Da is back for a second round of adventure and this time his destination is the land of Durgeshgor and the year they have to go back in history is 1757!
Durgeshgorer Guptodhon follows the story of Professor Subarno Sen, aka Sona Da’ , a professor of history, who along with his nephew Aabir and Jhinuk decide to visit one of Sona da’s student’s ancestral mansion at Durgeshgor. The great grandfather of this student was an erstwhile zamindar and a renowned artist of Bengal. There is a myth that runs in the family that they had once received a massive treasure, but all traces and trails of it had been lost. Sona’ Da along with Aabir and Jhinuk join a festivity in that mansion in Durgeshgor and stumble upon the lost clues that may lead them in unearthing one of the greatest treasures of Bengal!
The film is the sequel to the superhit treasure hunt film Guptodhoner Sondhane. Directed by director Dhrubo Banerjee, the film also stars Anindya Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Kharaj Mukherjee, June Maliah, Debjani Chatterjee, Liliy Chakraborty, Aryann Bhowmick, Arindam Sil, Kamaleswar Mukherjee, Joydip Kundu and Lama in pivotal roles. Bickram Ghosh provides the thrilling music and background for the film.
Durgeshgorer Guptodhon will hit screens on May 24.
